Linda’s solo exhibition showcases a beautiful collection of recent work using glass, graphite, ink, egg tempera, and gold leaf. Her art explores the inner lives of people, the sacred traditions of icon painting, and our human connection to nature and the animal world.
About the Artist: Dr Linda Smith
Dr Linda Smith is a figurative artist based in Kent, with a distinctive background in both science and art. With a PhD in Chemistry and a career in education, she later trained in Fine Art Glass, Architectural Glass, and Icon Painting, combining technical precision with symbolic and emotional depth.
Linda has taught at Canterbury Christ Church University, exhibited widely, and served as President of the Society of Women Artists (SWA). Her work has won numerous awards, including the Great Art Award from the SWA. Today, her practice includes everything from fine glasswork to graphite drawing and sacred-inspired portraiture.
