About
Impressionist Painter | Oils & Cold Wax | Based in Kent
Vivian Riches
Vivian Riches is a professional impressionist painter working from her studio in Kent. Her practice explores light, colour and atmosphere using a combination of oils and cold wax. She often incorporates the sgraffito technique—scraping into layered surfaces to create bold texture and visual depth.
Vivian’s work is held in private collections across the UK, Europe, the US and Saudi Arabia. She is currently represented by Natasha Pearl Gallery and regularly exhibits across the South East and London.
As well as painting, Vivian also runs workshops on oil and cold wax techniques, encouraging others to explore the possibilities of this tactile, expressive medium.
Her recent exhibitions include solo shows at Bourne Gallery and York Street Gallery, and group appearances at the Untitled Artists Fair, Parallax Art Fair, and Webb Fine Art Gallery. She was also featured in Artists and Illustrators Magazine in 2020.
